Zen and the Art..
Of following directions.. or should I say, re-enactment?
Ryan, author of my favorite, typically-not-motorcycle-oriented blog, r3tr0.net, found someone who put together turn by turn directions to follow the route taken in the book Zen and the Art of Motorcycle Maintenance.
If you haven't read the book, you probably ought to, but don't feel bad about incomprehension or skipping pages, or even whole chapters for that matter. In my opinion, anyone who claims to have a complete comprehension of the book is lying through their teeth. I think I have made at least 3 or 4 attempts at it to only minimal avail.
These directions, though, reminded me of a project I'd like to undertake one of these days.. to follow the route taken by Chris Mccandless in the book (and real life) "Into the Wild". He travels all over the US, into Mexico, Canada, and eventually to his final resting place, bus 142, outside of Fairbanks, AK.

How about you follow Chris's route without the same ending? I think we'd all prefer that.
